Donald Lee Flynn, 84, of Wabash, died 8:34 a.m., Sunday, June 13, 2021, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. He was born on Aug. 11, 1936, in Wabash, to Clarence and Emma (Meredith) Flinn.
Don was married to Mary Earhart and she survives. He retired from General Tire in Wabash after 41 and a half years, and was also a self-employed painter. Don was a former member of the Wabash Moose Lodge. He enjoyed fishing, going to Michigan mushroom hunting, and singing karaoke. Don was an avid IU basketball and Chicago Cubs baseball fan. He and his wife Mary wintered in Inverness, Fla. for 15 years.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Flynn of Wabash; two daughters, Alice Wells of Huntington, and Kimberly Frew of Wabash; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; brother, Ronald E. (Sue) Flynn of Wabash; and Don and Mary's special friend, Jack Perkins of Wabash. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Donald Wayne Flynn, and Larry Flynn; grandson, Andrew Slone; five brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Friday, June 18, 2021, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, Wabash, with Pastor Tim Prater officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call 12:30 - 2:00 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
