Inabelle Traver, 85, LaFontaine, passed away at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 28, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. She was born to the late Clarence Irving and Goldie Edith (Bryant) O’Connell on June 30, 1928 in Tippecanoe.
Inabelle married George Traver on July 3, 1947. They were married for 66 years. George passed away on May 13, 2014. Inabelle was a homemaker to her family and was a bookkeeper for F & H Fertilizer for 18 years. She was a member of LaFontaine United Methodist Church. Inabelle was also a member of IOOF 862 Ashland Rebekah Lodge and a Cub Scout Leader in LaFontaine. Inabelle enjoyed spending time at family gatherings.
She is survived by two sons, John (Theresa) Traver, LaFayette, and Jeff Traver, Wabash; daughter, Mrs. Larry (Janet) Dailey, LaFontaine; grandchildren, Keith Dailey, Chad Dailey, Angie Underwood, Allison Irvin, Ryan Traver, Jorden Traver, Chelsea Traver, and Alley Traver; and eight great grandchildren; sister, Sharon Morris, Rochester. She was preceded in death by her husband, a sister and brother.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 3, at McDonald Funeral Home, LaFontaine Chapel, 104 S. Main Street, LaFontaine. Burial will follow in the LaFontaine IOOF Cemetery in LaFontaine.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3, at the funeral home.
