Deborah Ann Weaver, 60, rural LaFontaine, died at 2 am, Sunday, Dec. 29, at her home. She was born Sept. 18, 1953 in Huntington, to James and Marilyn (Haney) Forbes.
Deb was a 1971 graduate of Southwood High School. She married John M. Weaver in Wabash, on Dec. 11, 1971. She was a kindergarten aide at LaFontaine Elementary School for 25 years, and was a beautician and licensed beauty instructor. She was a member of the LaFontaine United Methodist Church. She loved decorating cakes, flower gardening, and swimming in the pool with her grandkids.
She is survived by her husband, John M. Weaver, LaFontaine; three children, Brad (Keri) Weaver, Rochester, Bryan (Jennifer) Weaver, LaFontaine, and Amy (Pete) Norris, Fort Wayne; six grandchildren, Dylan Weaver, Elizabeth Weaver, and Landon Weaver all of Rochester, Elley Weaver, LaFontaine, and Emma Norris and Carter Norris, both of Fort Wayne; mother, Marilyn M. Forbes, North Manchester, and sister, Karen M. (Walter) Larr, Markle. She was preceded in death by her father, James A. Forbes.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Pastor Brad Wright officiating. Burial will be in LaFontaine I.O.O.F. Cemetery, LaFontaine. Friends may call 2-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
