William C. Siders, LaFontaine, passed away 5:53 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 23, at Luthern Hosptial, Fort Wayne. William was born on March 9, 1947, in Wabash. He was the son of the late Everett Siders and Martha (Woehler) Siders.
He attended Southwood High School. He married Susan Long, on Nov. 21, 1969, she survives. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He worked at Wyatt Oldsmobile, Quality Oldsmobile, Devoe Chevrolet and Matthew’s Buick. He retired in 1999. He was Past Commander and life member of Van Buren American Legion Post 368. He was a member of Amvets Post 5, Marion, 40 and 8, Marion, Odd Fellows I.O.O.F. Lodge, Lafontaine.
He is also survived by a daughter Lynn Siders, LaFontaine; two sisters, Sandra (James) Weaver, LaFontaine, and Mrs. Linda (Don) Jervis, LaFontaine; one grandson, Zachary Taylor Siders Hunt, Lafontaine; brother-in-law, C.W. Butch Long, Gas City.
Memorial Service will be 4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 27, at McDonald Funeral Home, LaFontaine Chapel, 104 South Main Street, LaFontaine, Indiana 46940, with Chaplain Charles Hall officiating.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 27, at McDonald Funeral Home, LaFontaine Chapel, 104 South Main Street, LaFontaine, Indiana 46940.
