Ethel M. Hoch, 96, Wabash, died at 3:25 p.m. Sunday, June 30, at Miller's Merry Manor East in Wabash. She was born May 12, 1917 in Wabash County, to Bert and Clara (Whitcraft) Campbell.
Ethel was a 1935 graduate of Lagro High School. She first married Lawrence J. Hamilton Sr.; then to Gail King, and then to Frank Hoch, all three preceded her in death. She retired from First National Bank in Wabash in 1979 after 30 years. She also worked at Clark's Finer Foods and the Wabash County Hospital. Ethel was a member of the St. Bernard Catholic Church in Wabash since 1942.
She is survived by seven children, Fred (Linda) Hamilton, Muncie, Jim (Rosie) Hamilton, Goshen, Tom (Michele) Hamilton, Fort Wayne, Bob (Lynn) Hamilton, North Manchester, Bill (Theresa) Hamilton, Wabash, Ed (Cindy) Hamilton, Alexandria, and Barbara (Roger) Hundley, Wabash; 22 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren; two brothers, Dan Campbell, Upland, and Earl (Ada) Campbell, Findlay, Ohio; and her sister, Irene Campbell, Summitville. She was also preceded in death by her son Lawrence Joseph Hamilton Jr., grandson Larry Dan Hamilton, three brothers and four sisters.
Funeral services were held at St. Bernard Catholic Church July 6. Burial followed in the Garden of St. Bernard in Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash.
