Edna E. Walters Landis, 92, died June 12, in Timbercrest Healthcare Center, North Manchester at 3:25 a.m.
She was born May 15, 1921, in North Manchester, to Rhuea M. (Roberts) and John J. Heeter. She married George Walters Jr. on Oct. 8, 1938. After his death, she married Don R. Landis on April 5, 1988.
Edna attended Chester High School before working as an aid at Timbercrest Retirement Community and later at Heckman Bindery.
She is survived by her son Todd L. (Jane) Walters, Silver Lake; and step-daughters Joann Pinkerton, Russiaville; Kadonna Holderman, Columbia City; six grandchildren, four step-grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren and seven step-great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren. Two sons, Michael June Walters and J. Michael Walters, and one daughter, Mary Ann Fulks, are deceased.
Funeral services will be held at Timbercrest Chapel, 2201 East Street, North Manchester. Calling hours are Friday, June 14 from 4-8 p.m. and will take place at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester. Pastor Kurt Stout and Chaplain Carol Pfeiffer will officiate.
