Eugene E. Wilson, 93, rural Wabash, died at 3:20 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 14, at Wabash County Hospital. He was born March 17, 1921 in Wabash County, to Ira and Anna (Story) Wilson.
Mrs. Valette Eileen (Eppley) Hartong, 85, Sturgis, Mich., went to be with Jesus, Saturday, Sept. 13, at her home. She was born Oct. 13, 1928, in Wabash, daughter of Garl and Alice (Speicher) Eppley.
Elmer Joseph Hagan, 87, died Sept.15. He was born Feb. 13, 1927. He was married to Patricia Daine; she preceded him in death. He later married Becky Wilson; she survives.
He is also survived by four sons, two stepdaughters, ten grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 20, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 12-7 p.m. on Friday at the Denver Baptist Church Fellowship Hall, where a Moose Service will be held at 6:45 p.m. and a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will also be one hour prior to the service on Saturday at St. Charles in Peru.
Arrangements were entrusted to McClain Funeral Home, Denver.
Curtis Devon Carpenter, 82, died Sept. 13. He was born June 2, 1932 in Roann. He was married to Margaret Hettsmansperger; she preceded him in death.
He is survived by two children and three grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his parents and sister.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 18, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash. Burial will be in Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home.
Rebecca Whitaker, 83, died Sept. 12. She was born Oct. 25, 1930. She was married to Eugene Howard; he preceded her in death. She later married Rev. Robie Whitaker; he survives.
She is also survived by four sons, one stepson, one daughter, one stepdaughter, one brother, one sister, 12 grandchildren, three step grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and five step great, grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, her parents, one daughter, one grandchild, three brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services were held Sept. 1 at Gospel Hill Pentecostal Church of God, State Road 15 South, Silver Lake.
Joyce Marlene Hiatt, 81, Wabash, died at 5:09 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 13, at Wabash County Hospital. She was born Feb. 5, 1933 in Sullivan, Ohio to Lester and Mary Edith (Amsbaugh) Reynolds.
Maxine Pickle, 99, died Sept. 13. She was born June 19, 1915. She first married Paul Finnell. She later married William Pickle; he preceded her in death.
She is survived by four children, 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, one great, great-grandson and her sister. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, two sisters and one stepson.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17, at Wabash Church of the Brethren, 645 Bond St., Wabash. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Ave., Wabash and one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the church.
Sharon L. Glaze, 66, died Sept. 13. She was born in Benton Harbor, Mich. She was married to Jeff Glaze; he survives.
She is also survived by two sons, two stepsons, two brothers, and five grandsons.
Private graveside services were held at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Marion.
