Dean Lavon Sloop, 64, died Aug. 12. He was born Feb. 21, 1950. He was married to Joyce Gaby; she survives.
He is also survived by three children and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and one half brother.

Charles Leon McDougle, 72, died Aug. 9. He was born Jan. 15, 1942. He was married to the former Carol Lee Benjamin; she survives.
He is also survived by two children, two grandchildren, one sister, and one brother. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 14, at McClain Funeral Home, Denver. A funeral procession to Springdale Cemetery, Bunker Hill will leave immediately after the visitation time and the Miami County Military Rites Team will present military honors at the cemetery.

Robert E. Jensen, 85, died Aug. 11. He was born April 16, 1929. He was married to Janet Ingerham; she survives.
He is also survived by two children, five grandchildren, and one brother. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Aug. 14, at 10 a.m., at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 13 at the funeral home.
Jean (Smethurst) Cress, 93, died Aug. 11. She was born April 8, 1921.
She is survived by her second husband, Rev. Howard Cress; one son, one granddaughter, one grandson and one great, granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband and one brother.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Aug. 14 at 2 p.m. at Heritage Pointe Applegate Chapel, 801 Huntington Ave., Warren. Visitation will be held at Heritage Pointe Applegate Chapel from 12-2 p.m. on Aug. 14.

H. Patrick Shuttleworth, 73, died Aug. 9. He was born Dec. 5, 1940. He was married to Gelana Sell; she survives.
Survivors also include two daughters, five grandsons, four granddaughters, one brother, a sister-in-law and a brother-in-law. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister.

Anne E. Day, 77, Wabash, went peacefully to be with her Lord, Thursday, Aug. 7, at Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home in Fort Wayne. She was born Jan. 21, 1937 in New Orleans, Louisiana to Frank and Katherine (Schmidt) Ineson.
Hugh E. “Bud” Martin, 90, died Aug. 4. He was born March 5, 1924. He was married to Ruth Jefferson; she preceded him in death.
He is survived by a stepson, one step grandchild, seven great step grandchildren, and one step great, great grandchild. He was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.

Jerry Warner Haag, 86, Wabash, died at 11:40 p.m., Monday, Aug. 4, at Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home in Fort Wayne. He was born May 16, 1928 in Roann, to Edward and Faye (Warner) Haag.
