Paul V. Conley, 69, Wabash, died at 5:58 a.m. Wednesday, July 3, at Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home in Fort Wayne. He was born June 20, 1944 in Lackey, Ky. to Dennis and Hazel (Wicker) Conley.
Paul married Karen E. Cooley in Wabash on June 22, 1963. He retired from Ford Meter Box in 1998 after 34 years. He attended the Southside Freewill Baptist Church. Paul was a member of the National Rifle Association and the Wabash Wildlife Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gun collecting, and spending time with his family, especially his grandkids.
He is survived by his wife, Karen E. Conley, Wabash; two daughters, Melissa Gatt, Wabash, and Teresa (Alfred IV) Plummer, Noblesville; four grandchildren, Derrick Gatt, Fort Wayne, Caitlin Gatt, Wabash, Alexandra Plummer and Ryan Plummer, both of Noblesville; brother, Ralph Conley; and sister, Anna (Denny) Correll, both of Wabash. He was preceded in death by his brother, Billy Conley Sr., and his sister Sally Begley.
Funeral services were held at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service on July 8, with Pastor Tim Webb officiating. Burial followed in Falls Cemetery, Wabash.
