The pre-season rankings for baseball have been released and the defending state champions, the Northfield Norseman are on top of class 2A.

The top ten teams in the 2A class are Northfield, Mater Dei, South Spencer, Hagerstown, Taylor, Park Tudor, Bishop Noll, Delphi, Union County and Forest Park.

The Norse open their season at Noblesville, on Tuesday, March 26. The home opener is Wednesday, March 27 against Blackford. Both games begin at 5 p.m.
